Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you recently added commentary to an article, Talk:Smiley. While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments belong on the article's accompanying talk page. If you post your comments there, other editors working on the same article will notice and may respond to them, and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article. However, keep in mind that even on the talk page of an article, you should limit your discussion to improving the article. Article talk pages are not the place to discuss opinions of the subject of articles, nor are such pages a forum. Thank you. Z. Patterson (talk) 17:38, 5 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add commentary to articles. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. If you would like to discuss the article, please use the article's talk page. Thank you. ... discospinster talk 19:51, 7 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

I made a comment on the talk page, which was deleted immediately after I made it. 138.88.43.77 (talk) 19:52, 7 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

By Z. Patterson. You can look above and see what he did. He removed my absolutely substantive comment, aimed at improvement of the article, from Talk:Smiley. This is unconscionable. 138.88.43.77 (talk) 19:54, 7 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
This is what he said: "I noticed that you recently added commentary to an article, Talk:Smiley. While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments belong on the article's accompanying talk page." I did make it on the "article's accompanying talk page" (Talk:Smiley), and this was admitted in the same sentence of his. 138.88.43.77 (talk) 19:56, 7 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
Interestingly, the following comment was never removed from "Talk:Smiley" by any editor: "Dinosaurs

dinosaurs died about 2 million years ago !" 138.88.43.77 (talk) 19:58, 7 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
