THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
Interesting, we got an episode of Fushi encountering a group of slaves and not only that, it went the way they're being treated. A cruel reality of their world imo. This is like one of those episodes where Fushi ends up seeing something he wasn't supposed to see since it wasnt their intention.

Also, I really like how this series continues to expand its world beyond their horizons with each of its story arc journeys.

What a rough start for fushi without his brother, still find it creepy when 'god' talks without moving his mouth lol. The end bit with the boat was kinda mad, did not expect the anime to take that route lol, thought fushi would go northwest to the nokkers to get march's form back but I guess that'll happen after this arc?

Fushi finally understand the weight of life and losing it, the impact on those around you as well as the person who lost their life as well, which is a tough lesson for an immortal to learn to say the least. It's fairly understandably that he doesn't want anything to do with harming others or interacting with others, as he doesn't want to fell those same feelings once again which is admirable ngl, but still naive as the nokkers won't be like fushi gave up so lets give up too.

God seems to be more playful than I initially thought, the being knows where the nokkers are yet didn't volunteer to tell the information to fushi - guess fushi didn't ask for it after all- and says that he'll be gone one day so fushi needs to destroy them? Interesting since it fleshes out the story more, seems like harsh love from the god figure, making fushi understand exactly what he's to save and have fushi make the decision himself rather than put it on him like a duty.

Pioran came back to find fushi, and she seems like the grandmother, if march is the mother and gugu is the brother that is, with how perstering she is but she means well and its booming sweet to say the least, her pushing fushi to interact with her, acknowledging that she'll be in danger yet caring enough to stick with him through thick and thin. and even listening to his problems, lovely stuff.

Like I said the boat seemed hella fishy when a girl just drags you then seperates you by genders, but I did not expect it to go to some Alcatraz like island where fushi has to fight in a tournament to get pioran free? Interesting development I must say.

Fushi found himself asking questions to himself and trying to figure out what his actual motive is and who is he? Suddenly many questions flood his mind at the same time. He asked the Black Robe dude but he told Fushi to figure itself on his own. Fushi has lost Gugu and now he doesn't care what happens to him or anyone else.

Pioran is also back and looks like she's going to travel with Fushi once again. But, he has to get stronger in order to protect anyone he loves and cares about. Also, he just realized that he has been robbed of March's memories which are really important to him.

They have gotten onto a wrong ship filled with other kidnapped people, Fushi and Pioran are also gonna be with them. Luckily, Fushi found some kids but looks like the prison island is gonna be a tough spot to escape from as the kids told Fushi that there's no getting out of there.

Jananda arc started and it already seems very interesting. Old granny got kidnapped and Fushi has to enter a tournament in order to get her back.

That's horrible how they can steal his memories and the bodies he collected, now he arrived to a prison island and it seems really harsh, I wonder how will be the "tournament" but for sure it will be violent, I already expect a lot of deaths during this arc :/

Hmm, Fushi is starting to be more conscious about his existence. Damn, everything is so surreal in this show. It Looks like Fushi is in quite a dilemma with Pioran trapped in some prison. Looking forward to this arc.

I didn't like the "slave trader" children... why the hell you'd drag someone unknown and not convicted of any crime board on a prisoners' ship ? Fushi doesn't know violence yet ,I'd have smashed her skull

It was great to see Fushi learn of his own powers and try to use that knowledge. Up until now it kinda felt like he just followed orders sometimes. It's very nice to see him growing as a person too.

C'mon Pioran, your job was to be the wise one and teach common sense to Fushi. I almost don't feel sorry for what happened, that was way too naïve!!

But overall this is for the best. Fushi will get plenty of opportunity to learn how to fight in this island.

Glad Fushi is using his heart and brain now. It's always refreshing to have a critical thinker for a protagonist. I can see a real personality coming through now - great job to the writer and the seiyuu for making that work.

The new arc starts, the man in black is now telling us more about him and fushi and what they’re goal is. Pioran want to go with fushi on the journey. They got kidnapped on a island. A lot of new characters this getting hype for the next episode. Interesting development.

So are the kids prisoners as well? They are working for the guys that transported slaves so why help Fushi with information? I kind of dont understand!

Also does anyone have a detailed MAP of the world? I am curious to see where Fushi started and were he went to.

Fushi has to find a way to get stronger so he can beat the Nokkers and regain the March form that was stolen from him. Pioran joins him to aid in his quest to get stronger. However, the two of them find themselves on a ship that transports prisoners to an island fortress called Jananda and the only way to get out of there is to win the tournament with the hope of having any wish they desire granted.

I'm very happy that my expectations for Fushi were met. I remember that the last episode stirred some discussion on the mangaka's direction with this, if the plot will keep repeating itself, etc.
I do believe that one of the points of the anime is to bring up the whole "nothing lasts forever, so hold on to what is dear" line (which I'm biased to like), but I'm happy that Fushi is already becoming more aware of his capabilities or lack of. He is also finally interacting with the white dude and questioning his existence.
Now, I haven't read the manga so I don't know what will come on the next episodes. I really don't wanna see my boy get hurt, but at least he'll be able to get better fighting skills and props from the arena.

The tournament arc .... hmmmm I don't know if I'm excited or just sad since it felt so forced but oh well

No new oped actually raising some sadness. However, its fine, then, considering this show only get 8 episodes left. So, well, Fushi learnt much things. He know realized some more of information behind his transformation, via that flower crab scene. He could created a living body, but only served it as a corpse. How about inserting the soul to that body? Will they become alive? Well, i may be wrong. But, that's one point to be taken on the later parts, i think....

Anyway, Pioran once again became his temporary trip partner. Their fights actually 4th wall break to shut the audience rage about killing a certain characters. 'its their lives, their story, let them do whatever they want on their story, ofc under the palm of author will'.

The old woman actually give such an additional information like how Parona actually already death without giving any further detail. But, well, Fushi really need to be more stronger. How? The new arc and characters appeared. The 'not so goody' kids, actually, trapping both into those prisoners island. What wishes? She may already know Fushi before. But ... That's the owl, i think. Fushi even reckoned to kill that bird to gain more ability. Still, its not the time yet, and Fushi already got one more objective on those island.

Okay start, and lets see the rest of these arc....

It’s so crazy seeing Fushi go from a mindless dog to a teenager pondering existential questions. His journey of self discovery is really remarkable. It really hurts to hear people speak of Gugu in the past sense, too. Can’t believe he’s gone 😔

Fushi learned about trust, kindness, hope, courage, brotherhood, family etc but now he's going to learn about how the cruel world works. He's going to have a hard lesson about the powerful being on top while the weak have to follow and obey in order to survive.

another banger episode.

Fushi's abilities should now be fully explained as to when and into what he is able to transform.

So Fushi is kind of like a world saving mechanism here to preserve the world? The nokkers are trying to stop him from achieving the goal of his master.

That moment when they were talking about March was beautifuuuuuul.

The production of this show continues to impress me week by week. Such high-quality consistence of drawings and animation. Music is stellar as well. God bless the Director and the Staff

man it feels like it has been forever since the first episode. Even the story with march feels like it was ages ago. This is going to be even more interesting to watch now that fushi has an actual mind now that he has developed, not like some brainless amoeba like he was in the earlier episodes. Already hate this new girl but without her we wouldn't get what looks to be a very compelling next episode

In my opinion, this ep. get more interesting. Fushi begin to doubt and has questions about his existence. So he wants to get more stronger to fight and protect for what he loves.About tournament, I think I understand why writer want to put this in. To make Fushi learn the ways of violence, cruel, uncivil but I think Fushi can learn those from other events? Don't need to be tournament? and this arc will focus on that how Fushi get more stronger. So in my view, it makes Fushi's development become narrower. But overall now it good ep. Let's see how this arc will go. (Sorry for my bad grammar.I'm Thai.) :)

Fushi seems to be able to speak fluently now! Before he stuttered and spoke like a child with minimal vocabulary. It's cos he lived with humans for 4 years in his human form. Damn I miss Gugu and Rynn :(

Is it just me or did the last part seem a bit too fast paced.
Anyways, the next arc seems it'll be exciting!
